Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These terms are the house rules for using our word tools and games. We have kept them short and readable so you can get back to unscrambling. Using the site means you agree to what follows.

The short version

Use the tools for fun and personal play, do not abuse or scrape the service, and respect that the site is provided as-is. Break the fair-play rules and we may limit your access.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our word-game and word-unscrambler website (“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service. This is a general-purpose template written in plain language and is not legal advice.

Using the Service

The Service is offered for personal, non-commercial word play, study, and entertainment. You may use the tools to unscramble letters, check words, and browse our dictionaries.

  • You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your region to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for the device and connection you use to access it.
  • The Service and its features may change, pause, or be discontinued at any time.

Rules of the Game (Fair Play)

Because this is a word game at heart, a few fair-play rules keep it enjoyable for everyone. When you use the Service, you agree not to:

  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated scripts to bulk-download word lists or overload the servers.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or rebrand our dictionaries and solvers as your own product.
  • Use the tools to gain an unfair advantage in a live, rated competition against other people where outside help is prohibited.
  • Interfere with the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or circumvent any rate limits or protections.

Using a word finder to practice, settle a friendly argument, or improve your game is exactly what it is for. We only draw the line at abuse and cheating that harms others.

User Content & Conduct

If you send us feedback, messages, or suggestions, you grant us permission to use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you. Do not send us anything you are not allowed to share.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of it.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and curated word lists, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable laws. Individual dictionary words are, of course, part of the language and free for everyone to use.

You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service as a whole without permission. Trademarks of third-party games mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only for reference.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that results are complete, valid in every game, or free of errors.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any lost game, wager, or opportunity.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or limit access to the Service, without notice, for anyone who breaks these Terms or the fair-play rules, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service and its users.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property and disclaimers, will continue to apply.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service grows and changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to highlight it. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Not sure how a rule applies?

If any part of these terms is confusing, ask us before you assume the worst. We would much rather clarify than surprise anyone.
